Alex and Victoria met at Waldorf College in Forest City, IA in the late summer of 2006. They quickly became close friends and spent as much time together as they could. At the end of that semester Victoria left Waldorf, however Alex and Victoria continued to talk every night on the phone and stayed close friends. On May 22, 2007 the couple finally agreed that what they had was more than a friendship and they made their relationship official. After many plane flights and large phone bills later on March 22, 2008, on internship living out in Portland, OR with Victoria and family, Alex proposed to Victoria. She said yes and the planning for the wedding began.
